Sofield Agrobio Resources Sdn. Bhd. (Company Registration No. 202001011324/1367644-K) is a manufacturer of biofertiliser located in Miri,
Sarawak. Started back in 2016, Sofield business is mainly biofertiliser production. Currently, their biofertiliser utility ranges from application for oil palm, vegetables, and various fruits including durian. Sofield are committed to preserving the environment and sustainability. Sofield has been awarded with the MS 2751:2022 certification and was the participant for the MS 2751:2022 pilot audit by Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council.
Our Founder
UGAK SANGGAU, a Sarawakian is the founder of the company, Sofield Agrobio Resources Sdn. Bhd. envision to bring a transformation using the concept of Regenerative Agriculture to the agriculture sector in Sarawak and beyond.
Biofertilizer has been produced known as under the trade name of SOFertilizer.
The journey begin when he started using his own oil palm farm as a test plot, his home-base biofertilizer has been significantly contribute to the increase of yield per hectare. He then decided it should be shared with other farmers.
Sofield Agrobio Resources is recognized the importance of food security, sustainability and friendly environmentally approach practices for agriculture for Malaysia. He pointed out to the chemical pollution in rivers and streams from agriculture which matches the reports of environmental pollution from agriculture in the US and Europe and is convinced that Sarawak can do better than these regions through the use of biofertilizer.
According to Ugak, it is time that the concept of Regenerative Agriculture is brought to Sarawak so that local farmers can become a stakeholder in order for Malaysia’s fight against climate change.
